Club Ratings

At Discount UK Golf, rating condition of golf equipment is something we have done for a while. We have put together a rating guide so you can get a better understanding of the clubs we have for sale and also how we rate the clubs you are looking to sell.

All the clubs are inspected on arrival by our staff prior to being photographed. We will also try to ensure we photo any relevant marks or imperfections so you are completely happy with your purchase from the minute you buy it to the second it gets delivered to your door!

We rate our clubs from 6 to 10, we do not buy clubs we rate less than 6, this can be due to the following flaws: 

 

• Rattles in the head
• Cracks or splits in the head/shaft
• Re-sprayed or painted heads
• Large sky marks
• Excessive wear marks
• Missing/damaged ferrules
• Dents/depressions

 

6 - Fair 

Signs of moderate usage minor chips on sole/face/head. Grips may show sign of wear. Pitting rust marks on shaft/head.

7 - Good

General signs or play and wear and tear, signs of bag clatter and scratches, still very playable.

8 - Very good

No damage, minimal marks to the head, if any are purely cosmetic. Item has been well looked after.

9 - Excellent

Very minimal use with light usage marks, as good as new.

10 - New or unused

Brand new, never used.
